Shark Tank season 4’s Viraj Bahl is one of the most successful businessmen, entrepreneurs and TV personalities, who is the founder and managing director of Veeba.
In the Shark Tank season 4 two more new sharks were appointed namely Kunal Bahl, co-founder of Snapdeal and Titan Capital, and Viraj Bahl, founder and managing director of Veeba /VRB Consumer Products.
Viraj Bahl has expressed his interest in appearing in Shark Tank season 4, which will air on January 6, 2025, only on Sony TV channel and Sonyliv.
Viraj Bahl Biography and Education
Viraj Bahl was born on September 29, 1982, in India’s vibrant city of Delhi and as of 2024, he is 42 years old. Viraj Bahl has worked for many firms and he has been an inspiration for a lot of youths who want to start their start-ups. Viraj Bahl’s success story is very motivational where he failed in his first attempt and led to a financial burden.
Viraj Bahl also worked as a Director at Food Processing Company from December 2002 to December 2009. In 2009 he decided to become a restaurateur but ended up becoming a failed restaurateur. Because his restaurant business was called Pocketful has got flop and in 2013 he saw that his business was not performing well in the market he was left with very few customers. This led him to a financial burden.
After that, he made the bold decision of again entering into a food processing business but he had no money and at that time he sold his mother-in-law’s house and gave his mother-in-law’s name to his brand.
He started Veeba at a small place called Neemrana. He first targeted the B2B model and provided unique tasty sauces and condiments. The initial six months were very hard but he never gave up and set up a factory with minimal demand. In this journey, Deepak Shahdadpuri of DSG Consumer Partners has played a very crucial role in Viraj Bahl’s life because with his investment Viraj was able to set up a business.
As days passed Veeba became more popular and saw very good growth. The company mainly attracted top fast-food chains such as Domino’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and KFC. Apart from that he also gains 92% of the revenue from retail.
Education
After that, he decided to move to Singapore for his higher education. Viraj moved to Singapore in 1999 and did his Industrial Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic, and graduated in 2002, in the meantime he also worked as a 2nd Engineer at MAERSK from July 1999 to August 2002.
After that, he returned to India and decided to join his family business, but the company was facing some financial problems, so they decided to sell the Fun Foods company to Germany’s Dr Oetker and they sold their family venture for Rs 110 crore in 2008.

Viraj Bahl belongs to a family of businessmen and his father Rajiv Bahl and Vibha Bahl, were the owners of India’s most popular food products brand Fun Foods. Viraj Bahl was a bright student in his academics and he completed his studies in India.
In this motivational journey, Viraj Bahl’s wife Ridhima Bahl also played an important role, who gave full support to her husband and never let him lose hope. The couple were blessed with two sons Rajvir and Ranvir.
